Area Rug and Oriental Rug Cleaning
At Citrus Fresh Carpet Cleaning Inc., we provide both on-site and off-site cleaning of your area rugs.
Light Rug Cleaning:
Depending on the level of soiling and odors in the rug, light cleaning can be done at your home or back at the shop. The fringes can be groomed but not full washed at your home, when using the light cleaning service.
* This is a safe, low moisture process that not only cleans your rugs, but will also bring out the rich colors again. Your rugs will be dry in 2 hours or less.
Our Full Service Area Rug Cleaning Process, done at our shop.
Step 1: Pre-Inspection and Check In
Your rug is carefully inspected for pre-existing conditions and a detailed inspection report is generated along with measurements to determine cost for service.
Step 2: Dry Soil Removal
We remove dry soil with our dusting machine. This machine will shake the rug, causing the dust and sand to fall out. A typical wool rug can trap several pounds of dirt and sand, so this is a crucial step before beginning the washing process.
Step 3: Area Rug Washing
We do a full wash and scrub on both sides of your rugs in our wash pit. Most rugs are cleaned with a safe and effective Oriental Rug Shampoo that is especially made to achieve maximum cleaning, while being dye safe and protecting sensitive natural fibers.
Step 4: Rinse
Step 5: Water removal and Speed Dry
Once your rug is cleaned, we use our state of the art equipment, a Rug Centrifuge. This machine is designed to quickly remove water from your rug. Your rug is then dried flat or hung to dry with air circulators to further speed up the drying process.
Step 6: Fringe Cleaning
If you have fringes on your oriental rug, we then treat and clean the fringes with a hot water extracting process thus achieving whiter and cleaner look.
Step 7: Grooming
When the rug is slightly damp, it is then groomed and combed.
Step 8: Ready for Delivery
When rugs are fully dried, a final inspection is done.
Rugs are then wrapped up nicely and ready for delivery or pick-up.
* We will pre-test all rugs for color fastness BEFORE cleaning. Dry cleaning may be required for some rugs that are not colorfast, usually silk or wool rugs. Wool and cotton are less stain resistant than the nylon or olefin materials used in standard carpets, so they may have stains that are impossible to remove with cleaning. The fringe will be manually cleaned as best as possible.
